Client Showcase with Julianne Foster “I feel proud of my website for the first time!”

Julianne used our Miranda Watson Template for her new website where she showcases her work as an adventurous elopement & couples photographer. She weathers all weather and shoots in the wild with her adventurous clients on their special day.

Learn all about Julianne, her business journey and inspirational people she follows, and what she thought about the process of building her website from one of our template in our Q+A below.

My name is Julianne Foster and I am 29 years old and live in Colorado, USA. I feel spiritually connected to the mountains, and love spending time in them!

I love photographing couples because it can be so hard to describe how much you love someone, but in images you can see it and feel it. I'm also a huge weather buff, and studied meteorology in college.

I'm an adventurous elopement & couples photographer. I specialize in helping couples who want their wedding day to truly reflect who they are and what they want. In addition to photography, I help find them the perfect ceremony location, provide vendor recommendations and help answer logistical questions.

WHO I FOLLOW ON SOCIAL MEDIA

I follow family/friends, my clients, vendors, and other creatives who inspire me!

Find your 'why' - Focus on your reason why and build your brand.

THE HARDEST LESSON

One of the hardest lessons is not to take things personally. A potential client may not choose to hire you for any number of reasons, but it's not an insult to your product or your commitment to your craft.

THE BIGGEST WIN

The biggest win is that starting my photography business has reconnected me to friends from different parts of my life who have reached out to have me take photos of them and their partner.

AN ADVICE TO OTHERS

Find your 'why'. Why do you want to shoot elopements rather than traditional weddings? Why do elopements matter to you? Why do you want to help couples have a 'just us' wedding experience? Focus on your reason why and build your brand.

Some tips and tricks I have for photography are

Don't compare yourself to other photographers. You are you. They are them. And you are good enough.

Rent gear before you buy it. This allows you to experiment with new lenses before jumping on an expensive purchase.

Practice, practice, practice and have fun with it! Go to styled shoots to try out new ways to be creative and better serve your clients.

“Now that my website more clearly represents my brand, the ideal benefit is more awesome clients that I can help to document their elopement!”

The website host I was using previously wasn't allowing me to have the level of creative control I desired.
There were several limitations such as the font selections, the amount of text allowed in each box, you couldn't move text/image boxes around on the page, and the web hosting didn't have as strong of SEO tools as Squarespace.

“With the Miranda Watson Template I was immediately attracted to the boho design. I loved that you set up a site to see it live before purchasing. And unlike many other templates it was very affordable which I appreciated.”

A concern I had before purchasing your template was Being able to migrate my domain and Google analytics to the new web host.
This new template allows me the freedom to create my own color templates, no limitation on text, I can hide pages from search consoles and the SEO support/recommendations is awesome.

“I feel proud of my website for the first time! Now that my website more clearly represents my brand, the ideal benefit is more awesome clients that I can help to document their elopement! “

One of the best changes is the integration of the Analytics feature! I love being able to check my website's activity all in one place.
I feel great!
